Presidential Primary

Like many other states, Massachusetts is looking to increase the significance of its Presidential Primary. Originally, the Massachusetts primary was to be held on March 4, 2008. However, it looks as if the primary will be moved forward to February 5th, also known as Super Tuesday. Massachusetts would join 22 other states holding primaries that day. This plan has backing from Secretary of State William F. Galvin, Governor Deval Patrick, and Speaker Salvatore DiMasi. This election cycle has seen a general trend in this direction, could this be a foreshadowing of a national primary in the future?
